I read all Susan Johnson's historicals years ago. I decided to read a couple of them over. I'm finding that I am remember very little of the story so it's like a new book to me. I am really enjoying Outlaw.

I'm happy that you were finally able to get High Country Bride because like I said reading a series from the beginning is always best. I know you are going to love this series. I'm happy you are going to buy Shayla's new book because I really loved it and it was the very first ARC that I won and reviewed before it comes out on this coming Tuesday. And you can be a reviewer too because I usually like almost everything I read but I'm honest when I say I don't like something about the book I've read.

Hi Phoebe, well you know that I was reading High Country Bride and I can say that I did not like it at all. What I can say is that I LOVED IT!!!! What a great story. It usually take's me 2-3 days to finish a book but I could not put it down and read it in record time. I am so glad that I went to your site and found The McKettrick series. As you know, I already have Shotgun Bride, I am going to the book store today to pick up my Pre Ordered book , Shayla Black's, Temp Me With Darkness and while I am there, I will see if they have Second Hand Bride and McKettricks choice. I'll probably read Shayla's book before I start reading Second Hand Bride. I'd like to thank you for introducing me to such a wonderful series.

Hi Veronica, you are sooo lucky. School does not start here until Sept 2nd. I have the whole neighbor hood running around my house right now, OH MY! I don't know if I mentioned that I only have 1 child, so when there is no one around for him to play with, he's is miserable and then so am I. Like they say for me the first day of school is the most happiest time of the year.
Sorry about all these Rake and Crofter stuff, it just kinda stuck with me.
I still have not gotten a picture yet. Maybe I should just scan a picture I have. I'll get around to it soon.
Phoebe I was lucky enough to find Secondhand Bride and McKettrick's Choice at the book store today. I really want to dive into them however I think I will read Temp Me With Darkness first. So that is what I am reading, Temp Me With Darkness by Shayla Black.

I'm reading Julia Quinn's Romancing Mister Bridgerton. She is SO good!! We were in Chicago this weekend for a wedding (so fun!) and I started it and just about finished it on one plane flight!
I really did enjoy The Book Of Scandal. I only wished that Julia would have writen about the second child they were going to have. I think it would have been a more HEA ending. The next book in line in the series is also looking like a good one to me. Maybe in that book it will mention Nathan and Evie's child.

Hi everyone, I have been busy with everyday life so my reading time slipped away a bit. I finished Lora Leigh's Wild Card and I must say it was her best book yet. So if you like her style of writing, I highly recommend it.
I am going to try a new author now her name is Sydney Croft and the book is called Riding The Storm. This read is out of the norm for me but I figured, why not!
YaYa, your right, I will most definitely be wanting to read Highland Scandal. It sounds like it will be a book that I will love.
I love Julia Quinn and have all her books. At last count, I have read her "Bridgerton" series three times! I just love to visit with that close, wonderful family.
Last week, I re-read Monica McCarty's books. They were just as good the second time around.
I usually read only historical romance novels, but I picked up Catherine Coulter's "FBI" series (13 books) at the library and I couldn't put them down. I have to admit that it was the husband and wife FBI team, Savich and Sherlock, who appeared in all the books that held me. Coulter's snappy dialogue is a plus as well.
I'm starting Sabrina Jeffries' "Only A Duke Will Do" tonight at work.

ooh, I haven't read Coulter's FBI series yet--I really do need to check it out. Like you, I generally stick to historicals, or I leave the genre completely and read fantasy. Coulter's old historicals, though, oh man, those were such an inspiration to me when I first began writing! I couldn't gobble them down quickly enough. :)
