Oh James!I just read Sword of the Highlands and fell in love with James Graham all over again. All over again because, as Veronica's critique partner, I loved him several times before he was published. ;) But mostly the book made me want to go out and play a round of golf. And take a rose petal bath in a pond. Both with my beloved, of course. Anyone else have a favorite scene from Sword? |
This is my favorite part:
James laughed... "Do you know the lass plays golf?... Aye she truly can play. And shooting from the rough? Magda... well at first you'd think she was a starchy, queenly sort of lass. Very upright. But she got in it at Montrose. You ken the gorse near the tenth hole? Well she got into trouble, and damned if the lass didn't hunker down, waggling her haunches like a wee rabbit, and she took her shot and that ball sprang out like a rousted bird."
