I have heard of nettle soup--have any of you? Also, there is an Irish legend of a woman who was forced to weave shirts of nettle to free her brothers from a curse--they were swans from dawn till dusk--and she had to do it all--the gathering of nettles, the weaving of the cloth, the sewing--all by herself, in silence, without a word, during this entire trial...her hands got swollen, red, and painful while she did this task to save her brothers from the curse.
Looks innocent enough, doesn't it??
