Are you Reading Much?

So I'm not good with titles for anything much less a new currently reading thread. So are you reading much now? And what is it you are reading?

I am between books at the moment. Just finished a story about a typical german family during WW2 who try to get along with the system without engaging more with the nazis than they must (Tadellöser und Wolff by Walter Kempowski) and fail miserably. Now I am preparing for something really heavy, Grimmelshausen's Simplicissimus, a very thick book, written about 1660 about a young man's adventures during the 30 years war. Sombody has been so kind as to translate it into modern german, still somewhat heavy reading.

Currently I am reading Sherrilyn Kenyons 'League' series. I am also reading 'Fragile Eternity' by Melissa Marr, and I have just finished Gena Showalters 'Atlantis' series. By last count, I still have over 40 books to read yet by various authors. One day I'll list them all, they tend to be fantasy/romance...and I'm still looking for more scottish fiction authors :) ideas anyone?

ooohhhh, I have a few Kresley Cole books :) I have the 'Immortals after Dark' series and the 'MacCarrick Brothers Trilogy'. Both series were great.

Tasha, have you heard of Nigel Tranter? he wrote brilliant and very well researched Scottish historical fiction about nearly every period and person in Scottish history from the Wallace to Montrose. Almost history books, but very good and captivating reading.

I am currently reading "Into Thin Air" by Cindy Miles and thank you Chris, I will look into your recommendation too. Happy New Year!!! everyone (bells and whistles for everyone, giggle)

Gayle

Phoebe, how many books do you do a day?
Veronica: surprisingly Simplicissimus is fun reading although very baroque in every conceivable way with lots of moral excursions about the condition of the world. Still very captivating and Mr. Grimmelshausen was a contemporary of our heroes and the heroe's mother is Scottish.

Ne oublie!

Chris, I only read one book a day unless it's a really good or short book then I may read more than one book a day.
